Workaholic culture makes me sick. If you feel the same, you should stick around this newsletter. I see this in older generations a lot: people tend to stimulate you to have a "real job". Whatever that means. Having an online business, or just being a freelancer isn't a real job according to them. They can't see the potential. They'd rather work themselves to death and don't take care of their mental health. And I can't even blame them. It's heavily ingrained in our culture. The general idea...

My mind is stuck. The summer is usually a time when you get happy and do the greatest things. But afterward, it's usually a difficult time. I've already written a newsletter about the "past-summer-dip", so I'm not doing that again. This newsletter is about being out of inspiration, and motivation, and not knowing where you stand in life. This is the Rewire Yourself Newsletter for 22 September 2023. Right before the summer started I was all motivated. Having free time made me think that I...

How was your summer? Mine was good, I went to Switzerland to relax, hike, and take a lot of beautiful photos. In the middle of our trip, I started coughing and had a sore throat. No big deal you might think, but after we got back home it got worse and I'm still kind of recovering from this. That was more than 2 weeks ago. But, then I came across an article about getting sick after vacation and it really got my interest because it has happened before. I also got sick in March after we had our...

For the last 7 days, we were in Switzerland. 🇨🇭 Back in 2017, I fell in love with this country. Back then, as a gateway to the heavenly country of Italy, we stayed in a hotel in Bedretto, in the heart of the Gotthard Pass. 🏨 Since 2017, I visited Switzerland in 2019, 2022 (5x) I even made a quick trip to Zúrich in June within 36 hours. Click here if you want me to write an article about that story. My sister and I went together last year. We try to do this every year and this was the second...

Read Online. Did you take the red pill? Or are you still stuck in society? And I don't mean that in any extremist way, you see on the internet lately. Call me moderate but I don't want to push my ideas to others. Let yourself live. That's what I'm interested in. Is everybody allowed to do whatever they want, without bothering other people? Most of the time they're not. And that's messed up. Just like the fact that most people live in a treadmill, running every single day for their boss until...

Good afternoon fellow travel lovers! Yesterday I promised a story about our hike to Oeschinensee, so here it is. Initially, we planned to hike from the town of Kandersteg to the 150-meter higher town of Oeschinen and then move on to hike around the lake. But since it's around 30 degrees Celsius out here (86F) we decided to take the cable car. 🚠 Within 5 minutes we were on top and ready to walk towards the most beautiful lake I've ever seen. We had a lot of speculation about whether this lake...

Sunday, August 20th, 2023 Rewire Yourself | Travel by Bryan Dijkhuizen Hi everybody! I hope you liked the first edition of this travel report series about my trip to Switzerland! Yesterday we found our way into the land of the mountains, lakes, cows, and cheese. It's so beautiful here, but the way to get here wasn't so much. The German Railways are always messing up their business. Nevertheless, we slept in the beautiful Truttikon near Winterthur in northern Switzerland. This morning we woke...

Rewire Yourself | Travel by Bryan Dijkhuizen Hi everybody! You're getting this e-mail because you signed up to receive updates about our trip to Switzerland this summer. This is the first issue of the 7 more to come this week. We've just left our home country of the Netherlands by train. We had to get up at 5 a.m. and that's not something I usually do with joy. Here's a picture of me in the morning 👇 But we're now almost in Switzerland. In 1.5 hours we'll cross the border and be happy...
